{"id":185232,"date":"2016-01-28T14:01:18","date_gmt":"2016-01-28T14:01:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=185232"},"modified":"2016-01-28T14:01:18","modified_gmt":"2016-01-28T14:01:18","slug":"ndc-pardons-namoale-sam-george-still-on-suspension","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/01\/ndc-pardons-namoale-sam-george-still-on-suspension\/","title":{"rendered":"NDC pardons Namoale, Sam George still on suspension"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Greater Accra Regional branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pardoned the Member of Parliament for the Dade-Kotopon Constituency Nii Amasah Namoale, after he was suspended for misconduct following the NDC primaries in November last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nii Amasah Namoale was said to have accused the regional executives of working against his re-election, an accusation the party felt was a dent on its reputation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;FwPEJY2wKXpuknRacpx9AtkA25hc24HI&#8221;]According to the party, Nii Amasah Namoale has <strong><span style=\"color: #666699;\"><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/12\/07\/suspended-namoale-begs-ndc\/\">rendered an unqualified apology<\/a><\/span><\/strong> to the party leadership\u00a0hence the decision to pardon him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Speaking to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>, the Greater Accra Regional Communications Officer of the NDC, Jerry Johnson, said the issue had to be referred to the Regional Disciplinary committee and their report, coupled with an apology from Mr Namoale, had led to the pardon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSo the issue had been referred to the regional disciplinary committee and they brought their report and in addition to that, he has also written to us apologizing to the regional executives.\u00a0Based on those two reasons, we have decided to reinstate him or re-admit him to the party,\u201d Mr Johnson added.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fate of the elected NDC Parliamentary Candidate for the Ningo-Prampram Constituency, Sam George, who was also suspended in November last year, is however yet to be determined.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Johnson stated that Sam George\u2019s case was also in the hands of the disciplinary committee but they have not received a report from them and are awaiting for them to take a decision.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sam George was alleged to have instigated party members against the regional executives by <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/12\/03\/sam-george-nii-amasah-namoale-suspended-for-misconduct\/\">accusing the executives of committing\u00a0fraud<\/a><\/strong><\/span> following the primaries in which he defeated the long-time serving member of parliament, E.T. Mensah.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe\u2019ve not received a report from the disciplinary committee yet.
