The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has indicated it will consider dismissing members who take the party to court without exhausting the existing party’s grievance structure.<\/p>\n
The party says NDC it does not tolerate attitudes that will impede it’s quest to win the 2016 elections massively.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”mBRxa4UPBtxQiNV603hAHCTigQvhZaLX”]This follows a suit filed by two defeated parliamentary aspirants in the Klottey Korle constituency,\u00a0Nii Armah Ashittey [incumbent MP], and Nii John Coleman who are challenging the eligibility of the elected nominee Dr Zanetor Agyeman Rawlings.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Citi News<\/strong> the Greater Accra Regional Organizer of the NDC, Anthony Nukpenu said the party will soon take a decision on the matter.<\/p>\n He said \u201cI believe that the time has come for the party to take stringent measures and decisions to dismiss people from this party, we cannot continue going this way.”<\/p>\n \u201cYou have not exhausted the grievance channel of the party and you just go and file this kind of suit just to drag people up and down.\u201d<\/p>\n He further urged Dr. Zanetor Rawlings to stay focused as they join forces in order to quash the suit filed by Nii Armah Ashietey and Nii John Coleman in court.<\/p>\n \u201cI will just urge Zanetor Rawlings to set her mind of this thing and her legal team should take up the issues, the party\u2019s legal team will also join to quash this out of court. She should just stay focused, campaign and go forward but I think the time has come for the party to start dismissing people from this party and let us focus and win the 2016 election,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Godwin A.
