{"id":182809,"date":"2016-01-19T06:00:14","date_gmt":"2016-01-19T06:00:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=182809"},"modified":"2016-01-19T06:00:14","modified_gmt":"2016-01-19T06:00:14","slug":"kodas-adooso-track-tackles-monetization-of-the-church-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/01\/kodas-adooso-track-tackles-monetization-of-the-church-video\/","title":{"rendered":"KODA\u2019s \u2018Adooso\u2019 track tackles monetization of the church [Video]"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One of Ghana\u2019s unique Gospel musicians, Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, otherwise known as KODA, has released yet another track seeking to criticize the monetization of the church.<\/p>\n<p>KODA was hugely credited for a similar song, \u2018Nsem Pii\u2019, which sought to draw attention of the church to what appears to be a drift from the real Christianity.<\/p>\n<p>KODA in his new track titled \u2018Adosoo\u2019 which roughly translates as \u2018too much\u2019 or widespread, talks about the phenomenon where some persons claiming to be pastors extort monies from desperate but sometimes \u2018ignorant\u2019 Christians, to pray for them.<\/p>\n<p>The new song, a churchy rendition of the late Highlife artiste, Dr. Paa Bobo&#8217;s original composition, has already been received particularly by viewers of the video on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>The video, which was loaded on YouTube on January 16, 2016 before the song\u2019s official release on January 17, already has nearly 4,000 views as at the evening of Monday January 17.<\/p>\n<p>Viewers of the video were wowed by the composition and content of the track.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the comments on YouTube read, \u201cGod bless you KODA! As children of God we must think about this issue. Most churches must be careful of what we do in this end time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another viewer, Sterlington Horsoo Jnr. said \u201cGod bless you Kofi. The message is clear and straight to the point.<\/p>\n<p>Raphael Adu-Gyamfi said \u201cGreat song Koda. GOD BLESS YOU.<\/p>\n<p>Emmanuel Aidoo said \u201cna this be punch line ooo. adoso ampa\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Other comments read \u201ccan\u2019t just stop laughing&#8230;&#8230;.nice tune Uncle Kofi.GOD BLESS YOU, \u201cKODA&#8230;.. YOU ARE TOO MUCH\u201d, \u201cYewura&#8230;this one I tell you &#8216;wicked&#8217; &#8230;nice one\u201d \u201cHmmm. Seriously most churches have their share in the song. God bless Koda. Speak against the truth and u will be judged one day\u201d, \u201cKoda, this is exquisite, bomb blasting, undisputed, something to think about and to be stopped one time&#8230;. this is eye opener to all God&#8217;s children.. beware\u201d, \u201cWow.. This is a Master piece. Straight to the point. Blessings to you KODA\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>About KODA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>KODA, is fully trained to be a pastor but focuses more on music, and does not hold himself as a pastor.<\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s multi-talented working as a sound engineer. As a multipurpose individual with a unique talent, KODA is an organist, guitarist and drummer amongst others; and is virtually able to handle every musical instrument.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_182812\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-182812\" style=\"width: 700px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-182812 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/01\/KODA-3.jpg\" alt=\"KODA playing a guitar, his first-love musical instrument and singing along.\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-182812\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">KODA on a guitar, his first-love musical instrument.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The onetime Director of the Mass Choir at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has stood out distinctly with amazing tracks such as songs Guide me o Jehova, Nkwa Abodoo with Gospel Musician Nacee amongst others.<\/p>\n<p>KODA, who was criticized by some churches for his track Nsem Pii, has said he will never retreat because he feels he is doing what God expects of him.<\/p>\n<p>The Takoradi-based musician told gospelgh.com that he expected some condemnation because of the critical issues addressed in the song.<\/p>\n<p>KODA owns the record label, ELKSMUSIK and leads a Band known as the Koded Studios and The Anointed in Takoradi. The band\u2019s interests are soul winning, live ministration, music production and recording.<\/p>\n<p>KODA, an addicted worshipper once said \u201cKoda once said, &#8220;How amazing it is to always be in that moment where all you have in you just pours itself out in the form of good music, harmonious and splendid in reverence to your creator.
