Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has reacted to making the 26-man World Cup squad for Brazil.<\/p>\n
The 22-year old, whose main trait is the power of his runs, was called up by Kwesi Appiah at Monday’s squad naming at the Ghana FA Secretariat.<\/p>\n
All credit goes to his boss at Parma, Roberto Donadoni.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen I returned from Germany he talked to me one on one and he told me that if I want play regularly I have to work hard. And I think the results are there for all to see,\u201d he told Happy FM in Accra.<\/p>\n
\u201cNaturally I\u2019m very delighted that I\u2019ve been called up. I think it\u2019s a reward for hard work and I hope to prove my mettle,\u201d he went on.<\/p>\n
Donadoni himself was famed for his pace and technique, so he may well know what he is telling the Ghanaian.<\/p>\n
Afriyie has made 26 Serie A appearances for Parma this season.<\/p>\n
