{"id":180496,"date":"2016-01-10T07:00:27","date_gmt":"2016-01-10T07:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=180496"},"modified":"2016-01-10T07:00:27","modified_gmt":"2016-01-10T07:00:27","slug":"chief-elected-presiding-member-of-ga-west-assembly","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/01\/chief-elected-presiding-member-of-ga-west-assembly\/","title":{"rendered":"Chief elected Presiding Member of \u00a0Ga West Assembly"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nii Klotey Boye II, Ofankor Mantse, has been elected the Presiding Member for the Ga West Municipal Assembly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He polled 35 votes out of 38 after his opponents, Mr Allister Lord and Mr Amadu Azizi stepped down.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nii Klotey Boye expressed gratitude to the assembly members and called for unity to push for more developmental projects in their communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mrs Felicia Dapaah, Municipal Coordinating Director who presided over the function, commended the assembly members for finally electing a Presiding Member, which had eluded the Assembly since October last year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">She congratulated Nii Boye for becoming the Presiding Member of the House.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr Sam Atukwei Quaye, Municipal Chief Executive said: \u201cIt is now time for developmental projects to progress in the communities since the Assembly has elected a Presiding Member to steer its activities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nii Laree, Member of Parliament for Amasaman called on the assembly members to educate the communities to become conversant with the activities of the Assembly.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He gave the assurance that he would spend some of his MP\u2019s Common Fund to support the Assembly in its developmental projects in the communities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Source: GNA<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nii Klotey Boye II, Ofankor Mantse, has been elected the Presiding Member for the Ga West Municipal Assembly.
