The Convention Peoples Party (CPP) Northern Regional Secretariat has described Dr. Abu Sakara Foster\u2019s resignation from the party he led in 2012 as inappropriate.<\/p>\n
The party\u2019s regional education Secretary, Nayi Adam Alhassan in a Citi News interview appealed to Dr. Abu Sakara to rescind his decision.<\/span><\/p>\n According to him, media reports about Dr. Abu Sakara Foster\u2019s resignation surprised the party\u2019s leadership in the region.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe the regional executives are very shocked and loss of words simply because we never expected such a thing coming from a person like Dr. Sakara.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWithin this period that we needed him most we are hearing news from the media that he has taken a decision to quit the party and contest the 2016 election as an independent candidate.\u201d Nayi Alhassan bemoaned.<\/p>\n He insisted the CPP 2012 Presidential candidate should reassess his chances of contesting the 2016 elections as an independent candidate and return to his mother party.<\/p>\n \u201cIs never too late and our appeal to Dr. Sakara is that he should rescind his decision and come back to the CPP.
