Government is expected to meet the various transport unions on Thursday, January 7, to discuss and approve new transport fares following the latest increase in the prices of petroleum products.<\/p>\n
The Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) and the Ghana Road Transport Coordinating Council (GRTCC) have served notice that transport fares will go up at all cost, after a meeting with the Transport Ministry.<\/p>\n

According to the GRTCC, high cost of spare parts and the depreciation of the cedi will be key determinants in the upward adjustment of transport fares<\/p>\n
