The new year has just begun and singer Chris Brown is being accused of punching a woman in the\u00a0face during a party in his Las Vegas hotel suite.<\/p>\n

The incident allegedly occurred after the R&B singer caught the woman taking his photo in the early hours of Saturday morning at the Palms Hotel in Las Vegas, TMZ\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n

A picture published by the website\u00a0showed the woman with an obvious black eye.<\/p>\n

Liziane Gutierrez, the alleged victim, who wanted to be identified by the website despite the accusations, told TMZ she had snuck her cellphone past Brown’s security guards.<\/p>\n

After Brown spotted her taking his picture, she told TMZ, he yelled and punched her once in the face and took her phone.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Gutierrez, who is a Brazilian model, left the party, only calling police some hours later, and was not treated at hospital.<\/p>\n

Vegas police confirmed to local news outlet\u00a0Las Vegas Now\u00a0that they were investigating Brown for battery and theft and that the incident was reported to them at 10.20am on January 2.<\/p>\n

Brown posted a now deleted video to his Instagram that was first re-posted by celebrity gossip site, The Shade Room Inc, where he labeled Gutierrez as ‘ugly’ and denied her claims against him.<\/p>\n

‘Obviously somebody is looking to get a check or start some s***,’ the singer known as Breezy said in the beginning of the video while appearing to be spaced out and rubbing his head.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t know this old looking b****. This b**** is old, like dusty, look at her in the Jason Derulo video.<\/p>\n

‘Like she came to Vegas, she probably came to my room and was too ugly to get in.’<\/p>\n

\u00a0Vegas police confirmed to local news outlet Las Vegas Now that they were investigating Brown for theft and battery. He posted a video to Instagram denying her claims and later deleted it<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In the now deleted post, Brown wrote in the caption: ‘Just woke up and saw this!!!! You know this is bulls***!’<\/p>\n

‘This woman has the worst case of the uglies (sic) I’ve ever seen. I guess she is in Vegas hoping someone will slip up and mess wit (sic) her. Lol.’<\/p>\n

A representative for the performer, who\u00a0recently\u00a0released an album named after his daughter\u00a0Royalty, denied Gutierrez’s claims earlier Saturday.<\/p>\n

‘Making false accusations seems to be a pattern of behavior for Ms. Gutierrez. Whatever her motives, her statements are unequivocally untrue,’ a statement from Brown’s rep reads.<\/p>\n

‘Ms Gutierrez was escorted out of the private after party at the Palms Casino Resort for being disruptive and out of control.<\/p>\n

‘The Palms Casino Resort security also saw her wild behavior via hotel security cameras and immediately came up to the hallway to escort her out of the hotel.<\/p>\n

‘Her claim that she had her phone in her possession inside the after party and was able to take a photo causing an altercation with Chris Brown is a complete fabrication.<\/p>\n

‘I’m not sure what mood altering substances Ms Guitterz (sic) was on but her statements are completely false and not based in reality. This seems like a clear case of retaliation for her bruised ego.’<\/p>\n

Brown took to Instagram for a second time early Sunday posting a selfie of himself, and writing in the caption: ‘Keeping my circle small in 2016! I’m done taking the care of grown ass men.<\/p>\n

‘And I’m going to be hella (sic) rich after all the lawsuits I file from these crazy individuals who keep lying on my name. Happy NEW YEAR! Time for some of us to grow the f*** up!’<\/p>\n

In October 2015, Gutierrez was photographed in a yellow thong bikini while on the beach where it seems she approached Rod Stewart who was in Brazil for a concert.<\/p>\n

She was also filmed by\u00a0TMZ in August 2015 outside a Hollywood night club after Jason Derulo just finished performing.<\/p>\n

Video published by the website shows her clearly upset that her friends left her to get inside Derulo’s vehicle, and texting her to get in a Uber to follow them.<\/p>\n

Hours before the alleged incident occurred Saturday, the 26-year-old’s successfully gave a New Year’s Day performance at popular night club Drai’s – where he is being considered for a lucrative residency deal after signing on for a short deal last fall.<\/p>\n

This is not the first time the father-of-one has been accused of violence.<\/p>\n

In May 2015, Las Vegas police said they were seeking him in relation to a fight on a private basketball court also at the Palms resort and casino, CNN reported. His spokeswoman at the time denied that he was involved.<\/p>\n

The year before, Brown pleaded guilty to simple assault in September 2014 for a case linked to a brief fight on a Washington, DC sidewalk in October 2013.<\/p>\n

The singer was sentenced to time served and paid a $150 fine.<\/p>\n

Three people were shot at a pre-awards party that Brown hosted during the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards, including former rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight.<\/p>\n

Brown’s numerous court appearances first started back in 2009, when he physically assaulted then-girlfriend Rihanna just hours before the Grammys, leaving her face and body battered and blue.<\/p>\n

In June that year, he pleaded guilty to felony assault and was placed on probation as well as being ordered to do community service and attend domestic violence counseling.<\/p>\n

He only completed his probation in March of 2015 after having to serve time in jail for violating it.<\/p>\n

Early on in his career, Brown spoke about the violence he witnessed first-hand growing up, as his mother was allegedly beaten by his step-father.<\/p>\n

In 2010, the crooner was banned from traveling to the United Kingdom, and this past February, he was blocked from performing in Canada.<\/p>\n

Additionally, his\u00a0scheduled appearance on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah was canceled at the last minute in December without any explanation.<\/p>\n
