{"id":178256,"date":"2016-01-01T08:00:40","date_gmt":"2016-01-01T08:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=178256"},"modified":"2016-01-01T08:00:40","modified_gmt":"2016-01-01T08:00:40","slug":"police-recruitment-scam-accomplice-dies-in-motor-accident","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2016\/01\/police-recruitment-scam-accomplice-dies-in-motor-accident\/","title":{"rendered":"Police recruitment scam; accomplice dies in motor accident"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alex Ampadu, a middle aged tanker driver believed to be an accomplice of the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/12\/29\/ex-soldier-arrested-over-police-recruitment-scam\/\">ex-soldier arrested<\/a><\/strong><\/span> for fraud, reportedly lost his life in a motor accident on Monday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Brong Ahafo Regional Police PRO, ASP Christopher Tawiah, revealed this to <strong>Citi News<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;fpiUChG9qyWo2KIo63UlE5lebzHkecme&#8221;]Ampadu was an accomplice to 58 year old Francis Kunlen, an ex-military officer who was arrested by the Brong Ahafo regional police command for defrauding prospective police recruits of about Ghc2,000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was believed to be the courier for Francis Kunlen as he was initially arrested when showed up to retrieve a sum of money of a prospective recruit during a police sting operation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ampadu thereafter led the police to arrest Kunlen who is now in police custody in Sunyani.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ASP Christopher Tawiah has since given assurances Ampadu\u2019s death will not adversely affect Police investigations.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSince there was some evidence before his death, we only have to assemble some evidence and then we will push it court for court to decide,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Delali Adogla-Bessa\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Alex Ampadu, a middle aged tanker driver believed to be an accomplice of the ex-soldier arrested for fraud, reportedly lost his life in a motor accident on Monday.
