{"id":17820,"date":"2014-05-12T05:46:30","date_gmt":"2014-05-12T05:46:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=17820"},"modified":"2014-05-12T09:20:49","modified_gmt":"2014-05-12T09:20:49","slug":"woyome-continues-evidence-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/05\/woyome-continues-evidence-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Woyome continues evidence today"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Embattled businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome will today Monday May 12, 2014 appear in the financial division of the Accra Fast Track High Court to continue with his evidence-in-chief.<\/p>\n<p>Led by his Counsel, Sarfo Boabeng, the accused at the last court sitting opened his defense to prove that the GHC 51 million paid to him as judgement debt was legitimate.<\/p>\n<p>This was after the presiding \u00a0judge, His Lordship John Ajet-Nassam earlier dismissed Mr. Woyome\u2019s application of no case against the state prosecutors.<\/p>\n<p>The state prosecutor, Matthew Amponsah is doing everything possible to retrieve the GHC 51 million paid to Mr. Woyome as judgement debt.<\/p>\n<p>At the last court sitting, Minister for Justice and Attorney Generals Department, Marietta Brew Appiah- Oppong was there to support the state prosecutor.<\/p>\n<p>Alfred Agbesi Woyome is standing trial for allegedly defrauding the state under false pretence.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Embattled businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome will today Monday May 12, 2014 appear in the financial division of the Accra Fast Track High Court to continue with his evidence-in-chief.
