Ghana\u2019s governing party is preparing to set up a party school to train its leaders, supporters and various group affiliates for leadership.<\/p>\n
According to General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the National Democratic Congress, NDC, has already had discussions with sister parties in South Africa, Cuba and China in that regard.<\/p>\n
He told Journalists upon arrival at the Kotoka International Airport from China, where he led a six-member delegation to hold discussions with the Communist Party of China (CPC) over the NDC\u2019s party school idea that:\u201cThere is no academic training that qualifies somebody to operate as a political leader. It is against this background that certain political parties, mostly on the left side, have decided to fill this vacuum through the establishment of party schools.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to him, the party school will help the NDC \u201ctrain our cadres, our student wing about how to go about the business of running the political party first and how to prepare our youth for leadership positions in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n
When formed, it will be the first of its kind in Ghana\u2019s political history.<\/p>\n
