{"id":176561,"date":"2015-12-23T14:02:32","date_gmt":"2015-12-23T14:02:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=176561"},"modified":"2015-12-23T14:28:12","modified_gmt":"2015-12-23T14:28:12","slug":"nana-addo-extols-mac-manus-credentials-for-victory-in-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/12\/nana-addo-extols-mac-manus-credentials-for-victory-in-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Nana Addo extols Mac Manu&#8217;s credentials for victory in 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has justified his decision to appoint former National Chairman, Peter Mac Manu as his Campaign Manager for the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some critics have questioned why\u00a0the choice of Mac Manu considering the fact that he failed to\u00a0retain power for the party in the 2008 election when he was the then party Chairman.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But speaking on Metro TV&#8217;s Good Evening Ghana show on Tuesday, Nana Addo said he is confident in the ability of the campaign team led by Peter Mac Manu to\u00a0deliver victory for the NPP in 2016.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;nJIJfC6nMPwadYFjd15Jl4HJF2hRGlKd&#8221;]He highlighted some of Mac Manu\u2019s achievements in the past saying \u201che was the Western Regional chairman of the party who helped the NPP to get majority seats in the region. He has that to his credit as well as working very much at the grass root level. He was able to catapult us into a position of political prominence in the Western Region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to Nana Addo, Mr. Mac Manu is also \u201cextremely familiar with electoral processes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that Mac Manu is noted for his enormous knowledge in electoral processes saying \u201che\u2019s been asked to talk about electoral systems all over the world. Although he has not been an electoral commissioner before, there is recognition that his knowledge of interest in the area is amazing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Mac Manu led team assisted by Member of Parliament (MP) for Okere, Dan Botwe,\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/12\/20\/npps-campaign-structure-for-2016-election-unveiled\/\" target=\"_blank\">was outdoored<\/a><\/strong><\/span> at the NPP\u2019s 15<sup>th <\/sup>National Delegates Conference over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile, Mr. Mac Manu has promised <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/12\/21\/mac-manu-vows-to-reconcile-disgruntled-npp-members\/\" target=\"_blank\">to reconcile all disgruntled members<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>of the party to support the campaign for victory.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_43804\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-43804\" style=\"width: 675px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/NPP-super-delegates-congress-31.08.2014-8.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-43804 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/NPP-super-delegates-congress-31.08.2014-8.jpg\" alt=\"Peter Mac Manu\" width=\"675\" height=\"450\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/NPP-super-delegates-congress-31.08.2014-8.jpg 675w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/NPP-super-delegates-congress-31.08.2014-8-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 675px) 100vw, 675px\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-43804\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Peter Mac Manu<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He said \u201calthough I have been appointed leader of the campaign, every member of NPP, every supporter, every well-wisher is a member of the campaign because we need to get to every voter to explain issues to them.
