Students of Ekorso DA Primary and Junior High School (JHS) in the Eastern Region say they are living in constant fear after they discovered cracks in their school building.<\/p>\n
The school, which was built over four decades ago, has not seen any renovation.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n The school\u2019s Junior High School Block which is a mud structure, has no doors and windows, with the old roofing sheets also ripping off.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n The situation interrupts classes as school authorities are compelled to bring classes to a close whenever it rains.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Inside the classrooms, are deep cracks on the walls and deep holes on the floors.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n There are no teaching and learning materials at the school.\u00a0Ekorso D\/A Primary and JHS also have no staff common room. \u00a0\u00a0Teachers sit under trees close to the school building to mark scripts.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Some of the teachers and pupils who spoke to Citi News<\/strong> said the prevailing condition is affecting academic work and called on Government and benevolent organizations to come to their aid.<\/p>\n
