{"id":175783,"date":"2015-12-20T06:00:13","date_gmt":"2015-12-20T06:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=175783"},"modified":"2015-12-20T08:35:36","modified_gmt":"2015-12-20T08:35:36","slug":"buipewura-supports-efforts-to-curb-road-indiscipline","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/12\/buipewura-supports-efforts-to-curb-road-indiscipline\/","title":{"rendered":"Buipewura supports efforts to curb road indiscipline"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II is collaborating with the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) to reduce carnage on the Tamale-Kumasi highway which connects Buipe.<\/p>\n<p>He has therefore instructed all sub chiefs within the Buipe Traditional Area to serve as Ambassadors of road safety in their localities.<\/p>\n<p>Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II gave the directive at his palace when he met with management of the Northern Regional secretariat of the National Road Safety Commission.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6530.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-175784 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6530.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6530\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6530.jpg 667w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6530-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As a retired police officer, he tasked chiefs in the area to cooperate with law enforcement agencies to maintain law and order.<\/p>\n<p>He supported calls for the demolishing of unapproved structures on the fringes of the highway.<\/p>\n<p>Northern Regional Director of the National Road Safety Commission, Alexander Ayatar bemoaned high records of road accidents for the region from 2014 to 2015.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6561.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-175787 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6561.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6561\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6561.jpg 667w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6561-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>According to him, Buipe was placed fifth on the list of accident prone zones in the region.<\/p>\n<p>He cited over speeding, overloading and reckless road crossing as some of the causes.<\/p>\n<p>Alexander Ayatar commended the Buipewura for his exemplary leadership.<\/p>\n<p>The Buipe Divisional Police Commander, DSP Owusu Antwi appreciated the cooperation of traditional rulers in the area, and said the area was generally peaceful and urged residents to safeguard the peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6557.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-175786 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6557.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_6557\" width=\"667\" height=\"500\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6557.jpg 667w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/IMG_6557-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 667px) 100vw, 667px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>DSP Owusu Antwi said the police in the area have enough logistics for patrols.<\/p>\n<p>Records show that the Northern Region recorded the highest cases of road carnage for the first quarter of 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The region between January and September recorded 192 road traffic crashes which involved 141 vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>This resulted in the death of 82 people whiles 341 were severely injured.<br \/>\n&#8211;<br \/>\nBy: Abdul Karim Naatogmah\/Citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II is collaborating with the National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) to reduce carnage on the Tamale-Kumasi highway which connects Buipe.
