The 2016 flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo Addo has rejected claims that there are individuals within the party he is uncomfortable working with.<\/p>\n

He said at the party\u2019s extraordinary conference that he can work with anybody but will not tolerate people\u00a0who sabotage the party\u2019s progress towards\u00a0victory in the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n

“I reject outright, the malicious refrain that have been put about, that there are people within the NPP that I cannot work\u2026my training and practice as a lawyer and politician thrives on divergent opinion. I have worked with people whose politics I do not like. When I was in parliament I worked with different people, different committees and we produced works that we were all proud of,” he stated.<\/p>\n

“I do not expect my point of view to be unchallenged but I do not accept the party members who will do anything to jeopardise the goal we have set for ourselves.”<\/p>\n

Suspensions<\/strong><\/p>\n

Nana Addo further stated that he was saddened by the recent suspensions of the party’s National Chairman, General Secretary and Vice Chairman, Paul Afoko, Kwabena Agyepong and\u00a0Second Vice Chairman\u00a0Sammy Crabbe but was quick to add that the decision demonstrated that the rule of law works in the party.<\/p>\n

He further charged the party to have the same goal to win the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n

“I expect all members of the NPP to have the same goal. I expect our party to win the 2016 elections decisively.Our Parliamentary candidates to win the majority seats in Parliament and our flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo to become the President of Ghana.”<\/p>\n
