{"id":17466,"date":"2014-05-09T12:21:35","date_gmt":"2014-05-09T12:21:35","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=17466"},"modified":"2014-05-09T12:27:24","modified_gmt":"2014-05-09T12:27:24","slug":"17466","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/05\/17466\/","title":{"rendered":"Medical doctors to get financial clearance before employment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From next year, Medical Doctors who complete their Housmanship will not be appointed immediately in the government hospitals until they are given a financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n<p>The new directive is due to the increasing wage bill of government.<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Executive Officer of the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital, Dr. Daniel Asare disclosed this to Citi News\u2019 Central Regional correspondent, Kwamina Bamfo-Agyei.<\/p>\n<p>This follows an announcement from the Ministry of Finance that any public sector worker who has not been paid over a period of time will only be paid three months salary arrears.<\/p>\n<p>But Dr. Asare clarified that health workers will not be affected by the three months back pay directive.<\/p>\n<p>In a related development, the Central Regional Minister Ebenezer Tey Addo has directed that the Teaching Hospital to create a Kidney Fund that can assist patients who suffering from kidney problems.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Addo gave this directive when he embarked on a familiarization tour of the Teaching Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital authorities complained of acute water shortage in the hospital coupled with unavailable accommodation facilities.<\/p>\n<p>They therefore appealed to the Minister to assist the hospital in solving the challenges affecting them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Kwamina Bamfo-Agyei\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>From next year, Medical Doctors who complete their Housmanship will not be appointed immediately in the government hospitals until they are given a financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance.
