The father of the kids who were crashed to death by a hit-and-run driver in the company of their grandmother, has told Citi News<\/strong>\u00a0he is deeply devastated by the loss of his children and mother.<\/p>\n

The children and their grandmother were killed by a commercial bus on Saturday December 12, 2015.<\/p>\n

The driver however absconded after the incident but the Police managed to arrest him later.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”0buP2oYJxWa2AkelcLZ4yVvbzAWWaNMX”]The three \u00a0were reportedly crossing the road at the Southern Command Gate on the main Teshie-Accra road when the vehicle hit them.<\/p>\n

According to the military officer father of the kids, Staff Sergeant Owusu Sekyere, the accident\u00a0occurred\u00a0when the\u00a0children and his their grandmother, were returning from his father in-law\u2019s funeral at\u00a0Kordeabe near Dodowa in the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n

Sergent Owusu Sekyere narrated how the incident happened to Citi News<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m a soldier man. When my former wife lost his father, I called my mother to accompany me to the funeral. She came to meet me at Bundase and we attended the funeral. After the funeral, on our way back home, we joined a public transport from Kordeabe to Teshie. Because my mother was tired, I hired\u00a0a taxi for her to take my daughters home when the accident happened. I lost my daughters and my mother, I\u2019m very sad now,\u201d he lamented.<\/p>\n
