Some angry supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Tamale Central constituency in the Northern Region on Wednesday burnt and vandalized bill boards, banners and other paraphernalia of the incumbent Member of Parliament, Inusah Fuseini.<\/p>\n
They accused the Roads and Highways Minister, of masterminding a purported dismissal of Engineer Ibrahim Seidu of the Department of Feeder Roads.<\/p>\n
Engineer Ibrahim Seidu, a former Deputy Director of the Road Fund Secretariat was reassigned to the Department of Feeder Roads.<\/p>\n
Engineer Seidu Ibrahim and three others contested Inusah Fuseini during the NDC Tamale Central Parliamentary primary.<\/p>\n
As a first timer, he emerged as the first runner up with Inusah Fuseini as the victor. Engineer Ibrahim Seidu\u2019s supporters and sympathizers after the primary vowed to vote skirt and blouse in 2016 despite Inusah Fuseini\u2019s reconciliatory moves.<\/p>\n
Engineer Ibrahim Seidu\u2019s former Campaign Coordinator, Basharu Alhassan Dabal-li in a Citi News interview condemned the rowdy behaviour of the youth and called for calm.<\/p>\n
He denied the group\u2019s claim that Engineer Seidu Ibrahim had been fired.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n The angry youth ignored his plea and went ahead with their demolishing spree on the Sakasaka stretch of the Tamale-Bolgatanga highway.<\/p>\n
