Inundated\u00a0with floods, poor sanitary conditions, and other\u00a0challenges over the years, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) has slipped from 35th to \u00a037th position, \u00a0in the latest Ghana District League Table for 2015.<\/p>\n

Many stakeholders have expressed concerns about\u00a0the poor state of many\u00a0urban areas in Accra.<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”85VNtjKIcoq3jqD1KNPhWbllbgsD8X4q”]About a month ago, heavy rains left the city flooded, leaving some roads unmotorable.<\/p>\n

Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA), which is one of the biggest in the country, however improved\u00a0from 160th position in 2014 to 71st position.<\/p>\n

All the 216 districts in the country were ranked.<\/p>\n

Tema topped the list while Gomoa was at the bottom.<\/p>\n

The District League Table was put together by \u00a0UNICEF and CDD Ghana, which uses 6 key sector indicators from \u2013 health, education, sanitation, water, governance and security \u2013 to compile a single score for each district.<\/p>\n

With the latest\u00a0ranking, it is possible to track which districts are doing well in Ghana and which ones are struggling and need to improve.<\/p>\n
