A little over\u00a0one million members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) went to the polls over the weekend and affirmed the candidature of President John Dramani Mahama to lead the party in the 2016 election.<\/p>\n

Out of the 1,260,954 total valid votes cast, 1,199,118 voted \u201cYes\u201d for the president while 61,836 voted \u201cNo.\u201d<\/p>\n
