{"id":16659,"date":"2014-05-06T06:59:33","date_gmt":"2014-05-06T06:59:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=16659"},"modified":"2014-05-06T07:22:29","modified_gmt":"2014-05-06T07:22:29","slug":"stanbic-concludes-swipe-to-brazil-campaign","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2014\/05\/stanbic-concludes-swipe-to-brazil-campaign\/","title":{"rendered":"Stanbic concludes Swipe to Brazil Campaign"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Pedro Pinheiro, a customer of Stanbic Bank Ghana is the final winner of the bank\u2019s\u00a0<em>\u2018Visa Swipe to Brazil Promotion\u2019<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>For his prize, he will get the opportunity to travel to Brazil with his partner to watch the upcoming Fifa World Cup tournament in June.<\/p>\n<p>The package includes a three-night stay at a four star hotel, tickets to watch the Ghana Portugal match and $150 spending money.<\/p>\n<p>The Stanbic Bank Swipe to Brazil campaign was launched three months ago but came to an end with the selection of the second and final winner on Monday May 5, 2014 at Stanbic Bank Head Office in Accra.<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was a visa card campaign launched by the bank in association with Visa international.<\/p>\n<p>The aim was to change behaviour and encourage Ghanaians to largely transact their business with cards rather than cash.<\/p>\n<p>Head of Personal and Business Banking of Stanbic Bank, Nana Dwemoh Benneh, disclosed that, over 2,000 cards were swiped during the three month period of the campaign, with over 11,000 transactions recorded; \u2018\u2019nearly half of the transactions were recorded in Ghana.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe note with pride that the market has seen the use of ATM cards for other transactions other than cash withdrawals and we here at Stanbic bank are proud that we are one of the pioneering banks to get this done,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n<p>Present at the event were the media, staff of Stanbic Bank and a representative of the Gaming Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Other lucky customers of the bank also received some packages from the bank.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>By: Evans Effah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Pedro Pinheiro, a customer of Stanbic Bank Ghana is the final winner of the bank\u2019s\u00a0\u2018Visa Swipe to Brazil Promotion\u2019.
