A District Magistrate court has adjourned the case involving the murder of a New Patriotic Party (NPP) member in the Asawase Constituency, Abubakar Sadique to November 24.<\/p>\n

The seven alleged murders appeared in court today for their alleged roles in the death.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”CPFNNN6hkPGB26nwIStFG5O0vWDE4SSz”]Abubakar Sadique, was stabbed to death last Friday for allegedly threatening to beat up the constituency chairman who is reported to have made some unpleasant comments about the party\u2019s flagbearer, Nana Akuffo Addo.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Citi News’<\/strong>\u00a0Ashanti regional correspondent, Hawa Iddrisu at the Asokwa\u00a0 Magistrate\u00a0 court, State Prosecutor, Superintendent Emmanuel Akonnor the accused were remanded to enable the Police to further investigate the matter.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn murder cases, we don\u2019t charge the accused person before we come to court, that is why we said the case is still under investigation. We take the docket to the Attorney General, he will advise us as to whether to charge them or not. So we are still in the process.\u201d<\/p>\n

On the party\u2019s constituency chairman, Mr. Brenya the State prosecutor said he has been kept in Police custody because \u201cwe have to conduct further investigations into whatever allegations that have been raised in certain issues so he has to be there to clarify it for the Police. For now we\u2019ve arrested four. We are going back to court on November 24.\u201d<\/p>\n
