The Rector of the Pentecost University College, Rev. Dr. Peter Ohene Kyei, has lauded the National Sanitation day programme describing it as a \u201cwakeup call to all\u201d Ghanaians to keep their environment clean.<\/p>\n
Reverend Dr. Ohene Kyei advised that other than just mobilizing individuals to clean up the community occasionally, \u201cwe should rather educate our people and give them the right attitude to collect and dispose refuse properly.<\/p>\n
He further noted that all institutions should be strengthened to be able to ensure that the environment is kept clean.<\/p>\n

Pentecost University College as part of the commemoration, also organized a cleanup exercise around the Sowutoum, Santa Maria and Kwashieman environs, as part of activities to mark the school\u2019s 10th anniversary.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n Hundreds of students with their brooms, shovels, cutlasses, mowers and wheelbarrows visited the selected areas to rid them of filth.<\/p>\n Speaking to Citi News, the SRC President of the Pentecost University, Samuel Anobah, said \u201cSanitation is a big issue, so if community members see university students cleaning the environment, it will inspire them to do same\u201d.<\/p>\n
