A suspected armed robber has been reportedly burnt alive\u00a0by residents of Asawase in the Ashanti Region.<\/p>\n

According to an eyewitness,\u00a0<\/strong>Emelia Anogye, the incident occurred specifically at Dogo Moro park.<\/p>\n

Narrating the incident to Citi News<\/strong>,Emelia said the residents beat the 20-year-old \u00a0up and set him on fire after he resisted an attempted arrest.<\/p>\n

“They beat the guy very well…As\u00a0 of now I can’t tell what he stole but reports indicate that he pulled up a scissors to attack them when they tried arresting him so they ended up beating him.”<\/p>\n

Kumasi has over the years recorded a number of similar incidents that have in some cases led to the death of victims involved.<\/p>\n

The situation is also rife in other regions including the Greater Accra region, Northern Region<\/a><\/strong> <\/span>among others.<\/p>\n

In September, two suspected armed arrested in Kasoa died a mob meted out instant justice to them<\/p>\n
