TV3’s Nana Aba Anamoah has resigned from the Kanda-based Television station.<\/p>\n
A source close to Nana Aba confirmed this to\u00a0citifmonline.com<\/strong> on Monday November 2.<\/p>\n About a month ago, Nana Aba sparked a Twitter storm when pictures she tweeted suggesting she was\u00a0at Old Trafford to watch her favorite team Manchester United \u00a0were not hers and that she was not at the stadium during the game.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”Gu649JH5OPi0CeRQtidptrv339xSsD3n”]The Manchester United supporter was widely\u00a0criticized and mocked on social media.<\/p>\n Although she explained that the entire incident\u00a0was a prank and apologized, the management of TV3\u00a0in a dramatic turn suspended her\u00a0for what it described as her involvement in \u201conline photo theft.\u201d<\/p>\n A statement signed by the company\u2019s Chief Executive Officer, Augustus Dickson on that Saturday October 3 said \u201cAfter preliminary investigations internally, and in accordance with TV3\u2019s own commitment to the highest level of professionalism, management has decided to take Nana Aba Anamoah off air until further notice.<\/p>\n Many of Nana Aba\u2019s followers criticized TV3 heavily describing the suspension that was made public as highhanded and unfair.<\/p>\n There had been a huge campaign on social media with many influential personalities calling for her reinstatement considering her enormous contribution to the network almost in a decade.<\/p>\n But the station did not heed to the calls.<\/p>\n It is unclear where Nana Aba is headed to with her media career.<\/p>\n
