The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will hold an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting today [Monday] to discuss the party\u2019s upcoming parliamentary primaries.<\/a> <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”nu01wbwPubPblX9ahjuCmlYUSRCNrkJJ”]Today\u2019s meeting will among other things determine whether to maintain the November 7th<\/sup> date or change it to allow the party deal with issues emanating from some constituencies.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Citi News<\/strong> a Deputy General Secretary of the NDC, Koku Anyidoho indicated that the party is prepared to consider all options at stake and arrive at a firm decision by close of day today.<\/p>\n

“We actually have an emergency NEC meeting to discuss issues relating to the primaries. Yes we are still working with the 7 November date but this meeting is intended to look at certain issues concerning the 7 November so I am sure a decision will be taken as to whether it will be 7 November or it will be postponed.Whatever decision that we will take, we shall communicate. ”<\/p>\n

Aside the contests across the 275 constituencies nationwide, the primaries will also seek to endorse John Dramani Mahama as the party’s 2016 flagbearer.<\/p>\n
