{"id":163103,"date":"2015-10-30T06:05:12","date_gmt":"2015-10-30T06:05:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=163103"},"modified":"2015-10-30T07:14:21","modified_gmt":"2015-10-30T07:14:21","slug":"police-mount-search-for-mother-of-dumped-baby","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/10\/police-mount-search-for-mother-of-dumped-baby\/","title":{"rendered":"Police mount search for mother of dumped baby"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Bongo Police command in the Upper East Region, \u00a0have mounted a search for a woman who dumped her one-day-old baby girl in a bush near Ananfomisi clinic in Bongo.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The baby was wrapped in a polythene bag and dumped in the bush in\u00a0the early hours of Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;YouPcahHCAtW71tZ7xJBxlxtWYBVNX9E&#8221;]The baby was later found by some residents in and was taken to the Ananfomisi clinic for care.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The baby, whose mother is yet to be identified, sustained some bruises and was rushed to the Bongo District Hospital where she is currently responding to treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But management of the hospital told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> the baby will be referred in due course to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICO) at the Bolgatanga Regional Hospital for urgent medical attention.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Meanwhile the Bongo District Police Commander ASP Paul Archibaed Ankan, told <strong>Citi News<\/strong> he has\u00a0 dispatched enough men to investigate the matter and arrest of the perpetrator.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;This morning [Wednesday], an information was given to us by the in-charge of the Ananfomisi clinic Hajia Mary Issaka, that a certain lady has drowned a day-old baby girl behind\u00a0 Ananfomisi clinic, so I dispatched Police\u00a0 men to the scene and indeed it was true. The baby was concealed in a polythene bag\u00a0and drowned away but fortunately the baby was not dead; so she was taken to the Bongo hospital for treatment.
