{"id":162879,"date":"2015-10-28T06:00:06","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T06:00:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=162879"},"modified":"2015-10-28T07:04:50","modified_gmt":"2015-10-28T07:04:50","slug":"were-sure-of-re-run-in-klottey-korle-addisons-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/10\/were-sure-of-re-run-in-klottey-korle-addisons-team\/","title":{"rendered":"We&#8217;re sure of re-run in Klottey Korle \u00a0\u2013 Addison\u2019s team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Campaign team of Philip Addison, an aspirant who contested the New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) recently held parliamentary primaries in the Klottey-Korle constituency, say they are optimistic the election would\u00a0be a re-run.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;F6l4UTIyc9nClmiPO2CWd1CxnpX4u5aX&#8221;]Philip had earlier boycotted the elections during the party\u2019s primaries, describing it as a sham.<\/p>\n<p>The elections took place\u00a0despite his decision, with his main opponent, Nii Noi Nortey, beating him with 393 votes whiles he managed 22 votes, with the other contender, Nii Adjei Tawiah\u00a0getting\u00a019 votes.<\/p>\n<p>Lawyer\u00a0Addison and Nii Adjei Tawiah however called for a re-run of the elections, citing several instances of fraud in the process.<\/p>\n<p>Addison thus petitioned the party demanding a re-run of the polls. But just recently, his\u00a0posters have resurfaced in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Explaining why the team had started advertising\u00a0Addison\u2019s posters, the Campaign Manager, Norman Tetteh said \u00a0\u201cthe purported election is not what it is and we are optimistic there will be a rerun.\u00a0We presented a petition; and we are very sure whatever the case, we will be vindicated\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>He further justified their decision to advertise posters, saying \u201c we have not flouted any of the constitutional provisions in the party.I don\u2019t think posting posters around or anything of that sort is any form of crime of something against any of the rules that have been set out.\u00a0Once it is not against any of the constitutional provisions of our party, we do not think it is wrong\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Campaign team of Philip Addison, an aspirant who contested the New Patriotic Party\u2019s (NPP) recently held parliamentary primaries in the Klottey-Korle constituency, say they are optimistic the election would\u00a0be a re-run.
