Tedam tells NPP members"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Chairman of the National Council of Elders of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), C.K Tedam says the party can win \u00a0the 2016 elections despite its\u00a0<span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/09\/08\/npp-convenes-crisis-meeting-over-internal-troubles\/\" target=\"_blank\">internal troubles<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0if leaders unite.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The opposition party has been in the news recently following what some describe as power struggle within the party.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;Bhv8YZUfntmw4V9DCCtP60gmfFHo3l6m&#8221;]A unanimous decision by the National Council of elders on Friday led to the <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/10\/23\/paul-afoko-suspended-indefinitely\/\" target=\"_blank\">suspension<\/a><\/strong><\/span> of the party\u2019s national chairman; Paul Afoko.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His suspension, according to the Chairman of the Council of elders followed what the party regarded as <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/10\/26\/c-k-tedam-explains-nec-position-afoko-was-arrogant\/\" target=\"_blank\">disrespect for the elders and party protocol<\/a>.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some critics of the NPP have described the suspension as an unpopular decision that will intensify internal bickering and <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/10\/27\/nana-addo-is-a-liar-he-cant-lead-ghana-at-72-sylvester-mensah\/\" target=\"_blank\">affect the party\u2019s fortunes<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in next year\u2019s polls.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But addressing journalists at his residence in Accra on the recent developments within the party, C.K.
