{"id":162340,"date":"2015-10-26T10:19:19","date_gmt":"2015-10-26T10:19:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=162340"},"modified":"2015-10-26T10:19:19","modified_gmt":"2015-10-26T10:19:19","slug":"dana-air-refutes-reports-that-its-airlines-are-unsafe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/10\/dana-air-refutes-reports-that-its-airlines-are-unsafe\/","title":{"rendered":"Dana Air refutes reports that its airlines are unsafe"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dana Air has refuted claims that its airlines are not safe to fly.<\/p>\n<p>[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;in589D4LZqcmQA2nrzvuhP2LUJjFtb9H&#8221;]According to lead sponsor of Dana Air in Ghana Sukhjidinder Mann the airline has and continues to comply with international safety standards.<\/p>\n<p>Dana Air had its license suspended by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) after one of its planes crushed in 2012 killing all 153 people on board and several others in a crowded Lagos suburb.<\/p>\n<p>The airline\u2019s license was however restored in January 2015.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority it is satisfied with the airline\u2019s\u00a0 safety standards and corporate governance structure.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on Citi FM\u2019s consumer focus show Business Today Lead sponsor for Dana Air \u00a0in Ghana Sukhjinder Mann allayed fears of airline travelers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think we need to look forward, post to the tragic event in Lagos a couple of years back you know a lot of checks were done on Dana and a lot of regulatory inspections and checks were done on the airline and Dana has come out on the other side with the vote of confidence in the airline by the NCAA and all other regulatory agencies.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Prior to the approval to travel to Ghana we had the regulator\u2019s inspection team visit Nigeria and audit the maintenance facilities of Dana Air and they are satisfied that the aircrafts are air worthy and are safe to fly over the Ghanaian airspace, Lead sponsor to Dana Air Sukhjinder Mann said.<\/p>\n<p>Dana Air will begin operations in Ghana from November 10, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;<\/p>\n<p>By:\u00a0 Norvan Acquah &#8211; Hayford\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dana Air has refuted claims that its airlines are not safe to fly.
