Local Government and Rural Development Minister, Alhaji Collins Dauda has described the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly (TAMA) as a shinning model in implementing government projects.<\/p>\n
The Minister got impressed with the Assembly\u2019s performance after inspecting some completed and ongoing projects in the Tamale Metropolis.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n Alhaji Collins Dauda commended the Assembly for operating in line with the Better Ghana Agenda.<\/p>\n According to him, the construction of modern markets in the Metropolis is to facilitate trade as means of poverty reduction. The Minister reaffirmed government\u2019s commitment to create opportunities that will enhance the income levels of residents of the area.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n He implored contractors working on the ongoing projects to complete them on schedule.<\/p>\n The Tamale Metropolitan Chief Executive, Alhaji Abdul Hanan Gundado showed appreciation for government\u2019s concentration on the area. He revealed the Assembly\u2019s intention to plant 20 million tree seedlings to accomplish the green Tamale project.<\/p>\n Alhaji Gundado said the Assembly will do it in collaboration with the Savannah Accelerated Development Authority (SADA) other development partners.<\/p>\n The Assembly has so far expanded infrastructure in various parts of the metropolis.<\/p>\n
\nHe anticipated that the modern markets when complete will attract traders from neighboring countries.<\/p>\n
\nHe promised to judiciously use the available resources to undertake projects which will enhance the income levels of the people.<\/p>\n
