The Deputy General Secretary of the New Patriotic Party(NPP), Nana Obiri Boahen, has watered down\u00a0suggestions by the chief of Sunyani that President Mahama will win 80 percent of votes in the region in the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n
The chief of Sunyani, Nana Asor Nkrawiri, told a gathering during a visit by the President to the area, that the chiefs of the area are appreciative of the developmental projects undertaken by\u00a0 the NDC government hence their promise.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”Y3frJOJidgcqkUQV20f886Vj1SV58gVZ”]But in a reaction\u00a0to the comments on Eyewitness News<\/strong>, Nana Obiri Boahen said there was no way the NDC will\u00a0garner more votes than the NPP\u00a0in the Brong Ahafo region,<\/p>\n \u201cIf he had limited himself to Sunyani, that would have even been it, but to say that the whole region will be voting for the president that is never correct and that can never be possible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Similar comments had been made earlier\u00a0by the Chief of Kukurantumi in the Eastern Region.
