The National Democratic Congress (NDC) will give disqualified aspirants the opportunity to challenge\u00a0their disqualification.<\/p>\n
A Deputy General Secretary of the party Mr. Koku Anyidoho said \u201cthose who have been disqualified have a right to petition against their disqualification.\u201d<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”EBtjhTpp4M3eBFti0X94N3QX718jJ7wj”]The national leadership disqualified 12 aspirants out of 23 that were forwarded to them for clearance, ahead of the party\u2019s primaries on November 7.<\/p>\n
Mr. Anyidoho said that the privilege to petition is \u201ctheir constitutional right and the rules of engagement and our party constitution allows for petition.\u201d<\/p>\n
He rather encouraged those who want to petition to forward their grievances to the National secretariat since \u201cit\u2019s the national that took the decision,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Five aspirants were given the green light to contest, while five others were put on hold. Eleven of them were disqualified, he further indicated that \u201cin the case of two gentlemen one from North Tongu and one from Elembele, their cases are pending meaning that we are looking deeper into the issues at hand.\u201d<\/p>\n
