Over 70 graduates of the various campuses of the Ghana School of\u00a0Hygiene on Monday besieged the premises of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development to demand postings to various\u00a0health facilities across the country.<\/p>\n
The graduates, numbering over one thousand say they have not been posted since 2011.<\/p>\n
They say they will keep picketing at Ministry\u2019s premises until \u00a0government announces their postings.<\/p>\n
<\/a><\/p>\n One of the affected graduates, Prince Dzamado told Citi News<\/strong> they will not leave the area until they receive positive assurance.<\/p>\n He said, \u201cwe came here purposely to ask if our services are still relevant to government and if it does then what measures are there to post us.\u201d<\/p>\n Prince Dzamado demanded that \u201cwe need a fixed date because we are\u00a0tired of hearing promises since 2011.”<\/p>\n He explained that several meetings with the Chief Director at the Ministry have not yielded positive results adding that \u201che [Chief Director] said that they have done all things within their realms\u00a0to negotiate with the Ministry of Finance and that they have \u00a0submitted our budget but feedback has not been given to them yet.\u201d<\/p>\n
