As part of efforts to help prevent, treat and ultimately eradicate breast cancer, Springs of Joy International on 17th<\/sup> October, 2015, will once again organize and host its second breast cancer awareness walk with the theme: \u201cLet\u2019s fight breast cancer together\u201d.<\/p>\n The walk will start at 6am from the La Bawaleshie School Park, through some major streets in East Legon and back to the park.<\/p>\n The walk will be led by the General Overseer of the Church, Dr.\u00a0 Prophet Akwasi Agyemang Prempeh, the Deputy General Overseer, Mrs. Rosemond Prempeh and Mr Emmanuel Kyermanteng Agyarko Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wagon.<\/p>\n This event is expected to attract over 200 people from and beyond the East Legon community.<\/p>\n A total amount of \u00a0Ghs 20,000 will be raised at the event to support patients undergoing treatment of the disease.<\/p>\n There will also be free breast screening for participants, all in a bid to reduce the effects of its stigma through education on its symptoms and treatment.<\/p>\n \u00a0–<\/strong><\/p>\n Source: Springs of Joy International<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" As part of efforts to help prevent, treat and ultimately eradicate breast cancer, Springs of Joy International on 17th October, 2015, will once again organize and host its second breast cancer awareness walk with the theme: \u201cLet\u2019s fight breast cancer together\u201d.
