Authorities of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly AMA would meet Black Stars Defender, Sammy Osei Kuffuor over the impending sale of his property to defray his accumulated property rate.<\/p>\n
The AMA has posted a warning notice on Kuffuor\u2019s Abena Attea tower on the Ring Road, which accommodates a bank and other companies over the owner\u2019s failure to pay property rates of Ghc15, 460.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”bWq3zfkYn6eLzm2iXS8qBDeqZUSgqAQ5″]The Assembly warned it will sell the property to defray the cost in accordance with the law by Monday, October 19, if the owner does not pay the debt.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Citi News, the Finance Director at the AMA, Samuel Aryeetey Aryee hinted Osei Kuffuor\u2019s property might not be sold after all.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe will be handling it in-house\u2026we will get in touch with him, not necessarily to sell his house, but it is a warning to him that that is the last resort that we have\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the AMA has set up a taskforce to retrieve monies from all defaulting property owners in the metropolis following a shortfall in its targeted internally generated funds.<\/p>\n
