The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and the Volta River Authority (VRA) of sabotaging the party’s flagbearer, Nana Addo’s ‘Rise and Build Tour’ in the Brong Ahafo Region.<\/p>\n
Nana Akufo Addo could not deliver his full message to party members in the region due to a power outage but\u00a0party executives in the region do not want to accept the incident as a mere happening considering that the country is experiencing power fluctuations.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Citi News<\/strong>,the party\u2019s former organizer for the Techiman North constituency , Peter Mensah said \u201cthe party picked up intelligence a\u00a0section of \u00a0NDC sympathizers and supporters had \u00a0met the VRA\u00a0 leadership in order to make Nana Addo\u2019s programme very unpleasant and this is exactly what was witnessed.\u201d<\/p>\n Meanwhile the Volta River Authority (VRA) in Techiman, has rubbished the allegation that they deliberately disrupted the programme in cahoots with the NDC.<\/p>\n Speaking to Citi News,<\/strong> the Head of Maintenance and Supervision at the VRA sub-station in Techiman, \u00a0Edward Hansen, admitted there was power outage while Nana Addo was delivering his speech but was quick to add that it was not \u201cintended\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cIt was an outage that happened on our 161 line. We have the records in our Techiman\/GRIDCO control room that indicates that between 11:33 to 11: 51, the system went off and this is not unusual. Usually some of these things happen and perhaps it only coincided with Nana Addo\u2019s programme;\u00a0It was not deliberate at all. \u201c<\/p>\n Nana Addo has for sometime now been touring the various region<\/a><\/strong>s<\/span> and meeting with party executives.<\/p>\n He is hoping to\u00a0prepare the party for a campaign that will \u201cenergize Ghanaians to help build and restore the country\u00a0onto a path of progress and prosperity,\u201d a statement from his office said.<\/p>\n He is expected to end his tour in the Greater Accra Region.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By: Marian Efe Ansah\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana
