{"id":157791,"date":"2015-10-06T18:00:53","date_gmt":"2015-10-06T18:00:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=157791"},"modified":"2015-10-06T20:21:06","modified_gmt":"2015-10-06T20:21:06","slug":"govt-releases-over-gh%c2%a2-700000-for-psychiatric-nurses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/10\/govt-releases-over-gh%c2%a2-700000-for-psychiatric-nurses\/","title":{"rendered":"Gov\u2019t releases over GH\u00a2 700,000 for psychiatric nurses"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Controller and Accountant General\u2019s Department has released money for the payment of outstanding salary arrears for nurses in the 3 psychiatric hospitals in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">[contextly_sidebar id=&#8221;OQSydumB2gtYLLK9npMfOvxivuMvPfj8&#8243;]A statement by the Ministry of Health stated that the Controller and Accountant General has released an amount of GH\u20b5756, 000 for the payment of the salaries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This comes after psychiatric nurses <span style=\"color: #666699;\"><strong><a style=\"color: #666699;\" href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/2015\/10\/05\/over-7000-nurses-and-midwives-declare-indefinite-strike\/\" target=\"_blank\">laid down their tools<\/a><\/strong><\/span> after what they described as deceit on the part of the\u00a0 government for failing \u00a0to pay them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the statement,the ministry said that the payment was made \u201cto about 133 nurses who form part of some nurses to be paid outstanding arrears.
