left the area<\/a><\/strong><\/span> in a bid to secure their safety.<\/p>\nBut recent information available to Citi News<\/strong> indicated that the residents are engaging in trading activities at the station.<\/p>\nThe Regional Police PRO, ASP Christopher Tawiah who confirmed the situation to Citi News<\/strong> however explained that the police had little influence to avert the decision by the residents.<\/p>\n\u201cWell it was built by the community and if they have decided that they do not want the police and have therefore taken over it, and moreover the IGP has also given directive that the policemen should be transferred, then I think that they have the right to have it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile two more persons have been arrested in connection with the violence that characterized the area. According to ASP Tawiah, the two have been put before court and remanded.<\/p>\n
They are however expected to reappear before the court in due time.<\/p>\n
