Professor G.A Teye Eyumu has been appointed as the new Vice chancellor of the northern premier University for Development Studies (UDS).<\/p>\n
He is to relief the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Haruna Yakubu whose administration has uplifted the UDS.<\/p>\n
Professor Haruna Yakubu\u2019s achievements<\/strong> Under the leadership of the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Haruna Yakubu who assumed office in 2010, the UDS established three other multi campuses in WA, Tamale and Navrongo.<\/p>\n The Tamale City campus hosts the School of Allied Health Sciences, Faculty of Education and the Institute for Continuing Education and Interdisciplinary Research (ICEIR) among others.<\/p>\n Many academic courses\u00a0introduced in the UDS were unaccredited by 2010.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Today, the UDS can conveniently boast that all its running programmes are accredited.<\/p>\n Infrastructural development<\/strong>
\nThe University for Development Studies established in 1992 by former President Jerry John Rawlings could only boast of the Nyankpala campus.<\/p>\n
\nLike all other public institutions, numerous completed and ongoing projects have flourished at all the UDS campuses.
\nProfessor Yakubu\u2019s administration to a large extent met the demand for lecture halls, staff and students accommodation.<\/p>\n
