Nurses at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital have\u00a0embarked on an indefinite strike over unpaid salaries.<\/p>\n
The strike follows what the nurses describe as deceit and failure on the part of government to fulfill promises to pay them.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”sz2yBicMi3SaRGLn9WLXcFfTsUFyBXCN”]The nurses declared a sit down strike<\/a> <\/strong><\/span>on August 3 to demand that their employers pay them all their salaries which had been in arrears for\u00a010 months.<\/p>\n The Employment and Labour Relations Minister, Haruna Iddrisu moved in<\/a><\/strong><\/span> to assure the nurses that their salaries will be paid in two months.<\/p>\n
