The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Charlotte Osei, has revealed that the commission has engaged the services of independent IT experts to investigate the allegations of a bloated voters register.<\/p>\n
The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) had earlier presented evidence which puts the credibility of the nation\u2019s electoral roll in doubt. According to the NPP, there was evidence of about 80000 Togolese nationals<\/span><\/strong><\/a> in the country\u2019s register hence their demands for a new one.<\/p>\n [contextly_sidebar id=”0TFFTCyo1Jy7aXi7AOrlJlQyzEvOOF7b”]The General Secretary of the governing NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia however described such allegations as untrue<\/a><\/strong><\/span> stating that they are attempts by the opposition to attack the integrity of some groups of\u00a0 persons in the country.<\/p>\n
