Managers of Movie house Global Cinema\u2019s have called the bluff of Justice Paul Dery, who has sued them for showing the video on the judicial corruption scandal.<\/p>\n

According to them, they have not received any injunction stopping them from doing so.<\/p>\n

[contextly_sidebar id=”9S6LfkJDrRHDREMkLJNZjbIDLeOUTwu6″]One of the indicted judges, Justice Paul Dery is dragging Global Cinemas to court for contempt for advertising to screen the video.<\/p>\n

Global Cinemas showed the video free of charge to the public on Thursday and have promised to do same today [Friday].<\/p>\n

Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, Communications officer of Global Cinemas, Eric Addae insisted that they have done nothing wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe advertised yesterday [Thursday] promising the whole Ghanaian public two free shows of this movie. So yesterday we went ahead and showed it at 4pm and also at 6pm.\u201d<\/p>\n

He indicated that \u201cIf we realize that there is more demand for the movie we will also show it tomorrow which is a weekend to afford more people the chance to watch this epic movie.\u201d<\/p>\n

Eric Addae explained that they are a law-abiding organization; \u201cwe don\u2019t have any of such restraints against us showing this video. As at yesterday there was no such action, [so] we went ahead and showed it. Today we are promising our patrons to show it again barring any such injunction, if nothing happens we are going to show it again to our public.\u201d<\/p>\n

Justice Dery sues UTV, AICC<\/strong><\/p>\n

Justice Dery had sued Accra based TV station, UTV<\/a><\/strong><\/span> and the Manager of the Accra International Conference Center<\/a><\/strong><\/span> Kofi Appiah for contempt for showing the video which captured some judges in the country allegedly taking bribes to influence judgement.<\/p>\n
