{"id":153930,"date":"2015-09-23T07:18:06","date_gmt":"2015-09-23T07:18:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/?p=153930"},"modified":"2015-09-23T07:18:06","modified_gmt":"2015-09-23T07:18:06","slug":"tamale-sakasaka-presbyterian-school-overcrowded","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/2015\/09\/tamale-sakasaka-presbyterian-school-overcrowded\/","title":{"rendered":"Tamale-Sakasaka Presbyterian school overcrowded"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">One of the best performing schools in the Northern Regional capital\u00a0of\u00a0Tamale, the Sakasaka Presbyterian primary school is faced\u00a0with overcrowding.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With a population of 850 students, the school can only boast of three classroom blocks and a makeshift structure accommodating JHS\u00a0one students.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">All classrooms at the Kindergarten, lower and upper primary levels are congested.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-153935 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-1.jpg\" alt=\"school in tamale (1)\" width=\"533\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-1.jpg 533w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-1-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The school authorities are compelled to halt admissions during the 2015\/16 academic season.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The school\u2019s\u2019 headteacher, Anena Victor, in a <strong>Citi News<\/strong> interview called for government\u2019s immediate intervention.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cI am appealing to government to assist us raise one of the blocks or even the front view of the school into a storey building to accommodate the entire school.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-153936 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/4cd.e16.myftpupload.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-2.jpg\" alt=\"school in tamale (2)\" width=\"533\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-2.jpg 533w, https:\/\/citifmonline.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/school-in-tamale-2-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 533px) 100vw, 533px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He lamented that \u201cBecause of our\u00a0performance, people from outside the metropolis from Kumbungu, Savelugu and Tamale the periphery, are coming here for admission.
