NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia, told Citi News early on, that contrary to the previous practice, the aspirants will now be vetted by a team led by the national officers at the regional level.<\/p>\n
He said the trend in the past was that \u201cwe\u00a0allowed the constituencies to do the first vetting, generate a shortlist which will then be taken to national.\u201d<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”cd3M2ljToFvnBC7Vcvak9VpuT2cVwt6v”]The NDC\u2019s scribe said they have reviewed the trend saying \u201cthis year, we will do a one stop shop vetting, that is we will deploy teams into the various regions and invite the respective constituency executives and the regional executives. And then the national team that goes will join them and they will do the vetting.\u201d<\/p>\n
The General Secretary in a statement released on Thursday September 17, announced the schedule for the vetting which starts from September 22 to 30th<\/sup>.<\/p>\nThe statement<\/strong><\/p>\nThe National Democratic Congress (NDC) is informing all regions and constituencies that, vetting of parliamentary aspirants shall take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, and Wednesday, September 23, 2015.<\/p>\n
On 22nd, Eastern, Upper East, Central & Upper West Regions, will have the vetting done.\u00a0\u00a0 On 23rd, Ashanti, Northern, Western & Brong Ahafo, will have their vetting done.<\/p>\n
Volta Region & Greater Accra Regions will have their vetting done on 29th & 30th of September.<\/p>\n
The vetting process shall be a one-stop-shop vetting. That is to say; National\/Region\/Constituency, shall vet simultaneously.<\/p>\n
