Lawyer for four of the implicated staff of the Judicial Service, Egbert Faibille is asking for the public screening of Anas Aremeyaw Anas’ video on the Judicial corruption scandal to be stopped until some important changes are made.

[contextly_sidebar id=”T62LWILxkM9nYv9TdVcrI1teMLvSU6GP”]Speaking to Citi News after watching the video, the lawyer suggested that some considerations must be made before public screening since the footage contains the images of some minors, which makes it unethical for its publication.

“At least I saw one child in the video. Are you going to show a child to the world because his or her parent was engaged in some discussions with somebody? We are talking about permanent records and I think that the frenzy should come down,” he said.

Egbert Faibille Jnr further indicated that after watching the video, he thinks “it should not be a conclusive basis for finding anybody guilty until people have gone through the due process.”

“From what I have seen, certain considerations ought to be recognized in portions of what took place behind or around them which had been taken off.”

The lawyer argued that based on the aforementioned reasons, there is no “equitable basis” for the video to be shown to the public.

In a related development, some of the judges implicated in the scandal have begun watching the video.

They are expected to give their written response to the Chief Justice by close of the week.
