Domestic airline operator Fly540, which suspended its operations some months ago, will resume operations in October, 2015.<\/p>\n
[contextly_sidebar id=”GobB4iIEfMRIOQt3XL6yCVJei3oRQxly”]Citi Business News<\/strong> has learnt the airline, upon resumption of operations will bear a new name, Royal Fly-Gh.<\/p>\n The local airline has already begun re-branding under its new name with new colors and a fresh logo.<\/p>\n Fly540 Ghana, one of four domestic airlines in the country, in May 2014 suspended operations as part of a restructuring exercise which saw some of its staff going to court over delayed severance packages.<\/p>\n The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) had earlier told Citi Business News<\/strong> that the authority was reviewing the new structure of FLY540 before granting the airline permission to resume operations.<\/p>\n The airline\u2019s application follows its acquisition by new investors.<\/p>\n Citi Business News<\/strong> has learnt the airline when it resumes operation, will not only ply local routes but international ones as well.<\/p>\n Royal Fly-GH then FLY 540 was incorporated in Ghana on 10th November 2008 and\u00a0was\u00a0given a certificate to commence business on 11th November 2008.<\/p>\n Royal Fly-GH started operating internal flights from Accra to Kumasi, Takoradi and Tamale from the year 2012.<\/p>\n Royal Fly-GH later introduced two sub-regional services to Abidjan and Freetown.<\/p>\n –<\/p>\n By:\u00a0 Vivian Kai Lokko\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Domestic airline operator Fly540, which suspended its operations some months ago, will resume operations in October, 2015.
