The New Patriotic Party flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has cautioned members of the party to desist from discussing internal matters in the media, expressing fears that it could\u00a0affect the fortunes of the party in the lead-up to the 2016 elections.<\/p>\n
Nana Akufo-Addo made the comment in Oda, during his \u201cRise and Build Tour\u201d in\u00a0the Eastern Region, on Monday.<\/p>\n
Addressing party faithful, consisting of constituency executives, parliamentary candidates and party sympathisers from 8 constituencies, Nana Addo expressed his deep concern about the raging \u2018media battle\u2019 being waged by some members of the party on internal party issues.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am very concerned about what is happening (in the party). I have made a clear decision in my mind that we will have to resolve these issues. The radio campaign in our party is not helping any of us. Let us stop discussing NPP matters on the radio,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

When responses to these issues come from us that is when the matter degenerates.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nana Akufo-Addo admonished NPP members to \u201cmake a resolution [that] no more radio campaign in the NPP. The problems will have to be resolved.\u201d<\/p>\n
The General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyepong, stoked the fire in a radio interview on Monday, claiming that he had been kept in\u00a0the dark about Nana Addo’s tour.<\/p>\n
