Citi FM,<\/strong> in partnership with EPP books and services has donated reading materials and an electronic wheelchair to students and the founder of the Christ the King of Kings School in James Town, Accra.<\/p>\n This forms part of the station\u2019s corporate social responsibility under the Citi Opportunity Project on Education (COPE), which is aimed at promoting education in deprived schools across the country.<\/p>\n <\/a><\/p>\n According to the Administrative Executive for Citi FM<\/strong>, Priscilla Ackun-Mensah, the move was in response to an appeal made by the founder of the school to assist students with learning materials.<\/p>\n She said \u201cCiti FM’s project called COPE collaborated with EPP to donate these learning materials to equip students with the right learning atmosphere by providing them with the essential learning materials. We also decided to donate the wheelchair to the founder to help him with his movements. It is our desire to keep this partnership to improve education in this area.\u201d<\/p>\n On his part, the Territorial Manager and Head of public relations for EPP books Mr Faisal Ibrahim Cisse disclosed that the reading materials were worth GHC20, 000.<\/p>\n Speaking to Citi News<\/strong>, Mr Ibrahim Cisse said, \u201cwe saw the need to help this school with the right learning materials. We did not just bring any books here just to fill their libraries but books that have been recommended by the school and will be essential to their development.\u201d<\/p>\n
