How do we hand over? That is suicidal,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">George Lawson says the PNC went against the gentleman\u2019s agreement between the two parties by talking to the media about this proposal before contacting the NDC.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe have what we call gentleman\u2019s agreement. It doesn\u2019t mean they have to issue a public statement. If they want to do this, then come and let\u2019s talk; you do not go to the media. They have not come to tell us anything\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Mr. Lawson called the proposal by the opposition People National Convention as inappropriate.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The People\u2019s National Convention (PNC) had been angry with with plans by NDC to field candidates in constituencies with incumbent PNC Members of Parliament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The PNC argued that because of the alliance it has with the governing party, it\u2019s MP must not be contested by NDC candidates.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The PNC MP for Builsa South, Alhassan Azong who served as Minister under the Mills government is set to face serious competition from Presidential staffer, Clement Apaak who has announced his interest to contest in the primaries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By: Jeffrey Owuraku Sarpong\/citifmonline.com\/Ghana<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The governing National Democratic Congress has described the People\u2019s National Convention\u2019s call for the NDC to discourage its members from contesting in constituencies occupied by the PNC as suicidal.
